The Cypress Creek community extends our heartfelt sympathy to the family of Vernon Hunter, our friend and neighbor who was killed in the airplane attack on the Echelon building in Austin on Thursday, February 18th.
The Hunters' neighbor, Amy Sweet, is helping the family coordinate the outpouring of support from the community. Anyone wishing to provide support for the family is asked to contact Amy (669-1979 or amy@scottandamysweet.com). Also, a scholarship/trust fund is being established for Vernon Hunter's grandchildren. Details regarding the fund are forthcoming; anyone wishing to contribute at this time should make donations payable to Mrs. Valerie Hunter and submit them to:

Welcome to the Cypress Creek Community !
Cypress Creek is a community of 181 homes in the southwestern part of Williamson County, Texas, which is in one of the fastest growing areas of central Texas. Many new freeways and roads are being constructed to handle the rapidly growing population of what is known as the beginning of Hill Country. Lakes, parks, professional sports, community colleges, the University of Texas, museums, theaters, and a long list of high tech industries make this area an attractive area in which to live. If you are a music buff, the Austin metro area offers one of the largest, live music venues in the United States. The Austin area is also one of the major movie making centers in the country in addition to being the home of movie stars and Lance Armstrong, six time winner of the Tour de France.
Our community is only blocks from the city limits of Austin and is within walking distance to elementary, middle, and high schools. Major shopping malls, pharmacies, and food stores are within a few minutes drive. Though close to the city, we are also on the edge of rural country that has plenty of ranches and tree covered hills where deer and armadillos run.
We pride ourselves in keeping our community safe and clean and in maintaining our homes to the highest possible standards. You will find our community friendly and extending a welcome to all new families.
Volunteers have been working very hard and long hours at trying to make our community a better place to live. We have reached out to other organizations and the City of Cedar Park to form partnerships for the improvement of our community.
